Your Role Would Include

:Providing teaching and support to pupils with autism, following individualised curriculums

:Planning, preparing and delivering lessons and activities, focusing largely on life skills

:Supporting pupils participation in trips, applying theory:based learning to practice

:Providing behaviourally based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life

:Providing personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding)

:Monitoring pupil progress, ensuring teaching is appropriate and effective for pupil needs

:Assisting with breaktime duties including playground support and snack time

Skills And Capabilities

:Minimum Grade C/4 or equivalent, in English Language and Maths

:Professional, personal or voluntary experience of working with children and disabilities

: Comfortable working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour

: Comfortable supporting others with personal/intimate care where required

: Ability to keep calm in high pressure situation

: Own means of transport, due to location desirable
