Key Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant
- Provide support to students with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs, both in the classroom and one-on-one.
- Help implement strategies that foster academic, emotional, and social development.
- Assist teachers in planning activities that cater to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally working with SEMH students.
- Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective support strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with students and staff.
- Resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
