Teaching Assistant
Location: Maidenhead
Salary: £85 - £95 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and making a meaningful difference in their lives?
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with ASD. Your responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, providing one-on-one support, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will also monitor student progress and collaborate with staff and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities As a Teaching Assistant
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with ASD.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to ensure their progress.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with individual support plans.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to adapt learning materials.
- Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring any concerns are raised promptly.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
- Previous experience working with children with ASD or in a special educational needs (SEN) setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, adaptability, and resilience in supporting children with additional needs.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of students with ASD.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
