Position Description

Teacher of Science : Full:Time : Secondary School : Harrogate : KS3 and KS4 : Start ASAP

Essential Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Excellent subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness )

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources
  • Participate in department meetings and collaborative planning
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community
  • Support extracurricular Science clubs and activities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and technicians
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are fulfilled at all times
