We’re Looking For Someone Who
Who are we?
Our mission is to provide all our students with the opportunities they need to become well-rounded citizens who believe in themselves, value others and can make a positive difference to their world. This year, we were the most improved school in Hastings!
We believe in every student's potential, and we encourage them to aim high. Our students are taught to have respect for themselves, the community and each other.
All who work and are a part of The Hastings Academy are continually striving to ensure we are the academy of choice. We have a published admissions number of 180 (900 pupils in total) and host a special facility for up to 10 young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
Why work with us?
We truly value the experience, dedication, and commitment of all our employees and believe in the power of motivated and happy staff. This is why at Hastings Academy, staff well-being is not an afterthought. It is not confined to the occasional mindfulness session or a token ‘well-being day.’ Instead, we have systematic approach embedded well-being into the operational and cultural architecture of our school. We call this ‘Well-Being by Design’.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role is considered exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013, 2020 and 2023. It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
