Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working

Holiday – 22 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)

About The Tax Senior Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Senior in either our Northampton office or Leicester office.

Our Northampton office are looking for a Tax Senior to join the tax team. A corporate tax role, you will be working closely with the tax team, clients and internal teams and you will manage the corporate tax affairs of a portfolio of clients and to provide tax support to the accounts team.

We are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first class service to our clients in both compliance and advisory areas.

Key responsibilities of a Tax Senior will include:

• assuming responsibility for a portfolio of corporate clients and controlling the management and completion of work arising from these clients
• organising workload to ensure an efficient and timely service is provided to clients
• liaising with the accounts team to obtain necessary information and to meet any required deadlines
• liaising with HM Revenue and Customs and clients
  
  

About You

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• at least 3 year’s relevant tax experience in an accountancy practice
• qualified ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA
• excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as the ability to help develop new business and demonstrate technical breadth
• ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding
• technical proficiency and good IT skills specifically intermediate Excel. Previous experience of Alpha Tax is an advantage
• ambitious and committed attitude
• have a flexible attitude to meet the ever-changing needs of the business
  
  

As the role may require you to travel to client premises it is vital you hold a current driving license and have your own transport.
