A fantastic opportunity has been made available to join the bank as an Experienced Mainframe/Oracle Developer within Payments IT. This is a very exciting time for the Payments IT Team as we transform how we operate within the Bank as part of the Payments Centre of Excellence.

Payments IT is responsible for deliveries covering all payments methods both domestic and international. We service all of our internal and external customer's Payments needs in a secure, reliable and innovative manner.

  • Providing development and production support skills for enhancements, bug fixing, transformation, obsolescence and vulnerability remediation within Payments
  • Delivering technical analysis and code to ensure smooth running across the teams

  • Payments systems knowledge/ Financial Experience including Domestic, Cheques and Faster Payments.
  • Change Management responsibilities to ensure smooth deployments
  • Experience with oracle development
  • Experience with some of the following
  • Mainframe, Cobol, JCL, DB2, CtrlM, Batch Process – Spark, Skala
  • Microfocus Cobol, Oracle, Linux, SQL, Powershell, Shell Script, Oracle Forms and Reports
  • Java
  • GitLab, GitHub

What else you need to know:

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
