Supported Lodgings Development Officer
Concrete Rose Collective CIC
Overview of Concrete Rose
Concrete Rose is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a Christian ethos and a determination to both deliver, and equip others to provide, first-class care and support for the most vulnerable young people across the UK. We work alongside, and support, those of all faiths (and none), all ethnicities, all genders and all sexualities.
We provide supported lodgings for young people (including care leavers, those at risk of homelessness, unaccompanied asylum seekers and young parents). These are nurturing places, in host homes, that include exceptional levels of wrap-around support (for hosts and young people) and are founded on a therapeutic approach that is based in research and understands trauma. Having established, and successfully delivered a supported lodgings scheme in and around Cambridge since 2022 we are looking to add extra capacity to the team in order to increase the number of supported lodgings hosts and, by proxy, the number of young people we support through this scheme.
This role
This development role will involve both the oversight of current supported lodgings arrangements in the Cambridge area and the expansion of the scheme to include more hosts and young people. This will include the recruitment and on-boarding of hosts, on-going host support and the liaison with relevant referral agencies to appropriately match young people with hosts. The individual will be required to work at a strategic level as well as work alongside, and build relationships with, hosts and young people. The hours for the role are flexible between 22.5 hours and full-time (37.5 hours). The role reports directly to the Operations Lead.
