JOB ROLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Newport, Gwent (NP20)
PAY RATE: £12.60 - £13.30* per hour
HOURS: 35 hours a week
SHIFTS: 08:00am – 20:30 & 20:30 – 08:00am (mix of days and nights)
Drivers Required - MUST HAVE A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE

About Ty-Newydd
Ty-Newydd is a lovely 6-bedroom Bungalow on the outskirts of Newport and has a regular bus route into Newport town centre. There are gardens to the front and rear.
We have a strong emphasis on promoting a person-centred approach, using active support and encouraging independent living skills to enhance individual’s quality of life and their ability to function autonomously.

As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day To Day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including
- Prompting service users independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administrating medication
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
- Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking
