Typical day as our Support Worker
- We are an Ofsted Service working with children and young people aged 16plus.
- Assisting with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
- Helping with daily living activities such as enrolling into education or work, making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
- Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
- Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no huge case loads here... Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.
You bring
- Passion working with children and young people aged 16+
- Are able to support them to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
- Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
- The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
- Understand the trauma and life challenges our young people leaving care may of already faced.
- Recognise every customer is different and you’re able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs

Job details
- Where we’re flexible with you, we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
- The work pattern is 3 days per week, some weekends and evenings but there is a 4 week rota which is given in plenty of time.
- We are open to working patterns to suit the rota and applicants requirements. There is some flexibility and maybe a chance for extra shifts.
- Able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
- You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
