Teledyne Gas Measurement Instruments (Teledyne GMI) is a manufacturer of gas detection equipment. We have a wealth of industry experience across the utilities, oil and gas, marine, nuclear and brewing markets and offer a wide range of innovative gas and flame detection solutions.

The scope of the Supply Chain Quality Manager role covers the management of the overall end-to-end quality function for the business. The position is directly responsible maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17001 accreditations. The scope of the role covers the supply chain quality and delivery through execution of MRP and production planning. This role leads a team of three buyers, three quality engineers, and four indirect staff within the stores, receipt, and dispatch function.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Act as the Management representative for the business both internally and externally in respect of company quality-based activities.
- Maintain and develop the Company Quality Management System against the applicable Quality Management standards and regulatory certifications.
- Execute appropriate tests to check product adherence throughout the realisation process to the company and regulatory standards,
- Grow Teledyne GMI into a quality first culture.
- Create, implement, and manage an effective supplier quality performance monitoring process implementing improvement activities where adverse performance of the supplier impacts product manufacture or performance.
- Oversee the supply chain function. Controlling MRP use and accuracy.
- Lead the store’s function managing inventory supporting customer deliveries. Including goods receipt and despatch.
- Ensure that PPV is delivered.
- Manage and maintain a customer complaints system, identifying root causes of non-conformances, implementing effective corrective actions and improvements to the product realization process.
- Lead initiatives to reduce CoPQ throughout the business.
- Support the delivery of Improvement Projects, taking ownership and leading initiatives where appropriate.
- Prior experience as a Quality Manager in a production processing environment
- Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes
- 6 Sigma experience
- Membership of recognised quality organisation
- QMS auditing experience.
- Understanding of ERP preferably Microsoft Dynamics
- Proficient in computer technology and systems
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and management skills with a proactive approach
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Able to lead the team both peer and reports.
- Great team player with strong interpersonal skills
