About the role:
To ensure ongoing expansion, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our existing Purchasing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the efficient flow of parts from suppliers to our warehouses.
In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in optimising our supply chain for efficiency and cost effectiveness, while ensuring alignment with our commitment to ESG principles.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Overseeing the daily management of our purchasing team.
Managing suppliers, including performance evaluation and negotiations.
Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers
Regular collaboration, support, and auditing, of existing suppliers to ensure compliance, ethical sourcing practices and alignment with our carbon reduction and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Demand forecasting and inventory planning.
Production and management of tenders.
Inter-departmental liaison with relevant stakeholder including Research and Development, Product Design, QA and Sales.
Supplier contingency planning and management of supplier risk management programs.Ideal Candidate Background:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchase management, with a proven track record of optimising processes and driving efficiency.
Bachelor's degree and/or qualified / part qualified CIPS.
Proven track record of managing and leading a team.
Have a genuine interest in procurement practices.
Passionate about sustainability practices and customer focus.
Strategic knowledge of supply chain management.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated, confident, and proactive.
Commercially aware.
An effective team player.
A change champion.
Good IT, literacy, numerical and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
