As the Supply Chain Planner you will be playing an important role with a Supplier Management Team in Rolls-Royce Defence Supply Chain. As the Supply Chain Planner you will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items). You will drive on time delivery through effective planning whilst maintaining ERP and supporting systems. Working within an operational team you will identify, prioritise, mitigate and resolve delivery issues within the supply chain that may impact the customer.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Supply Chain Planner in Submarines you will understand and validate demand.

  • You will manage commitments to programmes by developing and controlling a planning cycle, to drive plan credibility and on time delivery.
  • You will own launch and finish plans, and priority calls to ensure material availability and on time delivery to requirements.
  • You will drive ERP compliance for our portfolio of parts, working closely with other functions and roles to ensure we get the best out of our executive planning tool (SAP).
  • You will lead resolution of complex problems and risk mitigation, ensuring root causes are fixed to prevent reoccurrence.
  • You will have strong working relationships both internally and with the external supply chain.
  • You will manage key performance indicators and drive improvements.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Experience of working with the external Supply Chain management and internal Manufacturing.
  • Passionate about planning with strong organisation skills.
  • IT proficiency including working knowledge of SAP MRP & ERP systems, and cross functional awareness.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills and a track record of collaboration and delivering results.
  • Degree level education or equivalent. Membership of a relevant professional body (APICs) or similar would be an advantageous.
  • Customer focus and supply chain risk awareness; confident when representing Rolls-Royce with external organisations.
  • Data analysis, decision-making and influencing skills.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
