The Opportunity
Our Diabetes Care business have an exciting opportunity for 2 Student Manufacturing Scientists (Technologists) to join our Technical Services team for an approximately 13-month internship (starting Summer 2025) at our Manufacturing Centre of Excellence site in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Day to day activities are very varied, with typical activities including analysing and interpreting manufacturing data, investigating process variables and their impact to product performance, and discussing findings with the team and key stakeholders.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, well organised individual studying for a degree in biomedical science, biotechnology, or similar, with an interest in diabetes, materials science, real-life data analysis, and continuous improvement. This role would suit a person with good communication skills who enjoys working on a variety of different projects simultaneously.
This role will suit someone who has good time management skills and enjoys both teamwork and working individually. This is a great opportunity for an analytical thinker that likes to work through challenges in a logical manner using facts and data to support their findings to work side by side with the manufacturing process and get a real insight into a medical device company.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate around STEM, and keen to pursue their career in the Medical Devices sector. You should be excited about working in a fast-paced environment within a hard-working and welcoming team.

We have a Global Centre of Excellence for Medical Devices based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the Libre Sense system.
