Student Pharmacy Technician

We have a great opportunity for someone to enhance their career within our pharmacy function as a ‘Student Pharmacy Technician’
This position will see you working alongside the wider pharmacy team, ensuring prescriptions are controlled and managed in line with regulatory standards, making a positive contribution to the dispensary function.
The technician course will run for a period of two years; therefore, full commitment is required. Once enrolled on the course you will be expected to complete community placements and gain further experience in:
Handling an emergency line
Giving travel advice
Error reporting
Endorsing prescriptions
This role is full-time, working 40hrs per week, 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday and includes bank holidays.
What is required?
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a passion for wanting a career with the pharmacy function alongside being able to work with accuracy and pace, having a great eye for detail, strong communication skills and showing a willingness to make decisions that benefit the patients and the wider business.
Previous dispensary experience is required for this role and an NVQ level 2 would be an advantage.
