Following our recent successful hiring campaign, we’re excited to announce a new opportunity within our Structural Repairs Team. Paradigm Housing Group is proud to offer an exciting role for a Structural Repairs Technician to become part of our Direct Labour Operations (DLO). In this role, you will carry out brick repairs and external maintenance tasks, as well as construct and maintain brickwork, patios, and fencing across our properties.
Area Of Operations
Paradigm Housing Group manages a diverse portfolio of 17,000 properties located across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Greater London, and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be required to travel throughout our property network to carry out structural repairs and ensure the continued safety and integrity of our homes.
Key Responsibilities
Reading, creating, and analysing specifications to establish accurate layouts and guidelines.
Mixing mortar powder, sand, clay, and water to achieve the appropriate consistency.
Constructing secure and long-lasting walls, patios, and fencing, while repairing damaged sections such as brick or block walls, various patio slabs, and fencing systems.
Installing materials to an exceptional standard and setting up essential systems, including insulation and drainage.
Role-Specific Requirements
Repairing and replacing brick walls using various tools and materials.
Repairing and replacing patios using an array of methods and materials.
Repairing and replacing fencing or boundary structures with diverse techniques and tools.
Completing projects within agreed timescales.
Inspecting damage and estimating labour costs.
Removing debris from work sites to prepare them for building materials.
Ensuring protection of projects from adverse weather conditions like rain or snow.
Utilising hand tools and equipment, such as scaffolds and ladders.
Observing safety regulations and protocols.
Setting up vapour barriers and ventilation systems.
Maintaining adequate stock levels of bricks, mortar, and other building materials.
