  • About the role
  • The Council's new Street Scene Enforcement Team is looking for dedicated individual to investigate and enforce regulations related to highways, environmental issues, waste management, and general street scene prohibitions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate enquiries on Council land, public highways, and private land.
  • Plan and prioritize high-volume work.
  • Carry out a wide range of investigation, advisory, and enforcement functions.
  • Provide high-quality, customer-focused service to residents and elected members.
  • Respond effectively to complaints and service requests.
  • Contribute to Council strategies to protect the public and build stronger communities.
  • Targets to strive for and exceed, driving the highest standards in Street Scene enforcement.
  • An opportunity to drive cultural and organizational change within the service.
  • A pivotal role in delivering service priorities through innovation and inspiration.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven track record as an enforcement officer with skills in evidence gathering and formal enforcement actions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports, responses, witness statements, and present evidence in court.
  • Knowledge and understanding of national policies and legislation around all aspects of Street Scene Enforcement.
