Our Strategic Asset Planning Team have an exciting opportunity to join as our new Strategic Asset manager for Waste Networks. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing asset management strategies to optimise the performance and sustainability of our assets.
You’ll also be involved with strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, guiding management thinking, and identifying innovative solutions to enhance asset value.
This role can be based out of our office in Coventry or Derby.

Some Of Your Other Key Accountabilities Will Include
- Develop the strategic direction and implement asset class strategies, through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Play a key role in the Price Review Process and own specific Business Plan Lines, focusing on specific investment programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and meeting regulatory requirements. Handle regulatory queries, reporting and data submissions.
- Translate strategic plans into tangible deliverables to support short-term investment decisions through the production and review of Investment Protocols.
- Utilise expertise in sewerage networks and infrastructure to inform decisions, with a key focus on storm overflows and rising mains
- Ensure we have visibility of the condition of our assets drawing on connections across the organisation, supporting the Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan (DWMP) for waste networks and assisting the development of systems and processes as needed.
- Provide expert advice and support on asset management issues to internal teams and external partners, working cross-functionally to link knowledge and expertise from other business areas. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting waste networks.
- Technical understanding of sewerage networks (or similar), preferably with asset management experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make creative, strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in wastewater infrastructure management.
