Strategic Account Executive

Overall purpose of the job:

  • Provide active support and oversight in association with account directors – broader view than just ‘account sales’ approach. Particularly those with more complex SIAM/Service Delivery.
  • Provide strategic direction of initiatives to build on the existing accounts with account directors.
  • Support account directors/managers across major and strategic accounts, as directed by line management.
  • More of an input into shaping response to service issues and CSIP ensuring a joined up approach to CSAT, NPS and engagement
  • Bid Support - Overlay for Customer bid engagement, bid shaping, content creation and review on major bids, particularly on those larger with a more detailed technical or service requirement.


Key responsibilities for this job:

  • To work with larger opportunities as directed across the business regarding design and proposal and be an active contributor to grow new revenue across the business.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with Bids, Contracts, Commercials, Legal and Products and ensure all are united in delivering bids and high value opportunities.
  • To work with the solutions teams to deliver appropriate, joined-up solutions for the high value opportunities on technical areas.


Knowledge and experience required:

  • Track record of leading sales enablement teams working with Enterprise Customers
  • Experience is delivering successful bids and tender processes on high value opportunities
  • Strong technical knowledge across Connectivity, Cloud, UCC, Security and Managed Services
  • Excellent bid writing skills and strong presentation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects with multiple product suites
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence across all areas
  • Likeable and able to persuade others
  • Tenacity, Grit and determination
