The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced passionate, focused, self-starting and service-driven Stores Manager to join our established growing team within our fast-paced aerospace components distribution and manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in managing stores ideally gained within the aviation or aerospace industry.


We’re looking for someone who can ensure the timely and accurate flow of materials through the business—from receipt and inspection to storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. This includes oversight of both purchased and repair, manufactured parts, materials and semi-finished components, operating under strict FIFO principles, and delivering right-first-time performance to meet customer delivery dates.


You’ll have proven experience in a similar role with a keen eye and attention to detail, enjoy working as part of strong established team and have the ability to build and maintain relationships across the business. You’ll possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, a talent for meeting targets and KPI’s to support our overarching business development and sales goals. Your excellent people management and rapport-building skills will support and drive motivation and engagement of your teams to ensure that excellence is felt by our client through our customer service and promotes our ‘Source, Make Integrate’ ethos.


You will be highly computer literate and fully competent with Microsoft 365 and ERP systems to manage client orders, pipelines, and ensure everything is always up to date.

Full time hours: Your normal working hours will be 38 hours per week, typically worked Monday – Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00-14:30 with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to be flexible with your working hours.


This role requires daily in-person attendance and is based at our offices in Amersham.

What will I be responsible for?

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


·      Maintain inventory and stock control through a well-organised stores environment using a clearly defined and logical location address system,

·      Enforce and manage a robust FIFO system to ensure stock rotation and traceability,

·      Ensure accuracy of physical and system inventory through rolling stock checks and cycle counting,

·      Ensure optimum material flow and planning by overseeing the timely booking in, inspection, and processing of incoming goods,

·      Coordinate and prioritise the picking and dispatch of orders in line with production and customer delivery schedules,

·      Develop and implement systems for urgent item processing, enabling same-day dispatch where required,

·      Work closely with planning and production to ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) and kits are available to support manufacturing and repair operations,

·      Optimise use of digital systems for process efficiency, managing the use and continual development of barcode scanning, handheld devices, and ERP system virtual depots for ringfenced and project-based stock,

·      Drive efficiency through lean storage and picking processes, optimising the flow of goods and minimising handling,

·      Provide strong leadership, developing, and supporting your team of operatives (Goods In, Picking/Packing), including 1 Team Leader,

·      Manage workload allocation and performance, fostering a high-performance, quality-driven culture,

·      Train team members on process compliance, digital tools, health & safety, and aerospace traceability requirements,

·      Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and lean thinking across teams,

·      Ensure adherence to all relevant aviation industry standards for storage, handling, and documentation,

·      Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in accordance with HSE and internal policies,

·      Share your knowledge and experience with the Flitetec team and play an active part in supporting and developing your colleagues,

·      Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of Flitetec.


Our ideal candidate


·      Proven in a similar stores or warehousing management role with aerospace and aviation industry experience,

·      Proven track record in planning and scheduling dispatch operations to meet tight delivery deadlines,

·      Sound understanding of aircraft component traceability, including batch/serial number tracking and shelf-life control,

·      Strong working knowledge of FIFO systems, stock accuracy processes, and ERP-based inventory control,

·      Competent in the use of digital scanning tools, barcoding, and stock control software,

·      Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail,

·      Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills,

·      Ambitious individual who wants to be part of shaping, developing and delivering our next chapter.


Our Company

Source Make Integrate: Flitetec is a manufacturer of new and repaired and overhauled aircraft interior products and is certified for CAA Part 21 subpart G and EASA/CAA Part 145 release. We specialise in vacuum forming of polycarbonate materials, overhauling and producing products such as meal trays, seat backs, aisle side shrouds, centre console fairings, in arm tray liners, cocktail tables, infills, bump strips, mirrors, threshold strips, monument and galley floor fitting covers. Flitetec also stocks and distributes a large range of aviation components and products for defence and commercial aircraft applications.


Our customers include international and regional airlines, OEM manufacturers, MRO operators, leasing companies in UK, Europe, North America, Middle East and Far East.
