Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced physiotherapist with a background in musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions to join our remote healthcare team. As a remote physiotherapist, you will provide digital consultations and treatments to clients with various MSK issues, offering expert advice and guidance to help them manage and overcome their conditions.

This service runs alongside other providers to ensure fast access to triage where no other GP referral has been made. The service has a dual function: offering assistance and guidance for patients to effectively manage their MSK condition independently, and when needed, it helps to arrange referrals to suitable recognised clinicians or services.

Deliver excellent standards of telephone and video assessments

You will be expected to carry out 30 minute appointments

Provide diagnosis, prescription of self-management techniques and onward referrals

Manage customer pathways, delivering the most appropriate clinical outcomes

Assess customer needs and provide appropriate advice and support.

Provide remote guidance and instruction to on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention strategies, and self-management strategies for managing MSK conditions.

Offer remote consultations to address patients questions, concerns, and progress updates, providing ongoing support and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Stay current with advancements in MSK physiotherapy practice and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and promoting the overall health and well-being of patients.

Essential Requirements

  • Experienced Band 6+ Physiotherapist with a minimum of 3 years experience within MSK
  • Be up-to-date with own clinical practice and demonstrate an ability to maintain clinical competence
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding timescales
  • Excellent application of clinical knowledge with the ability to respond rapidly and decisively
  • Proficient in using telehealth platforms and EMR systems for remote consultations and documentation
  • Experience conducting remote consultations and delivering virtual care is preferred
