Job Overview
Hywel Dda University Health Board, Women and Children Directorate has an exciting opportunity for motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious RN/RSCN to join our Acute Paediatric Nursing Service, based at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.
The clinical areas provide local services for the children, including 24 inpatient children’s beds, 3 high dependency bed and a 8 bedded Paediatric Ambulatory care unit, as well as Oncology Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
The work is varied and offers opportunities to develop a broad range of specialised skills working within multi-disciplinary and multi-agency partnerships. We provide an excellent service to meet the needs of children and families incorporating Family Centred Care.
Learning and development opportunities supported by our practice educator.
Main duties of the job
This Band 5 post is available and applicants need to be RN/RSCN/Child Branch trained with experience post registration and the ability to be nurse in charge. The successful candidate will be required to work day and night rotation.
A caring attitude is essential with good written and oral skills. You must be able to manage your time effectively.
This is a Fixed Term/Secondment vacancy until 28/02/2025
