How You'll Help Us Connect The World

As a Senior Staff Engineer of Technical Pre-Sales, you will be responsible for providing support to customers and Andrew's Regional Sales Team for Small Cell solutions. This individual will also be responsible for supporting NPI activities in the market, to develop product verification strategies and deploy Andrew's small cell solution in early lab trials, pre-commercial trials, qualification, and First Office Applications (FOA) in commercial networks.

This position is virtual with travel (up to 80%) in the United Kingdom. Preference is near London.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Working with the sales team to provide pre-sales application engineering support. This will include traveling to customer facilities when additional technical expertise is required.
• Providing engineering support customers base and sales team by answering technical questions concerning Andrew's small cells solutions.
• Providing technical support for tenders and proposals.
• Driving deployment requirements for Andrew's OneCell solution with Andrew's Product Management and Engineering Teams.
• Collaborating with the technical leads from Andrew's customers to drive solution requirements for Lab Trials, Early Market Trials, and FOAs.
• Defining all requirements for the Installation of Andrew's Equipment in the Operator's Lab and Commercial Network.
• Developing solution verification test plan to be executed at the Operator's facility.
• Developing Project Execution Plans to validate Andrew's Solution in the timeframes required.
• Executing the Verification Plan with the Operator.
• Working with Andrew Engineering to resolve issues identified during the solution verification.
• Obtaining Acceptance of the solution from the Operator
  
  

Required Qualifications For Consideration

• High School Diploma with 10 or more years of relative experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of relative experience
• Demonstrable working knowledge in current and next generation communication networks: wireless, telecom networks
• Capable of understanding and communicating technical ideas/products/solutions
• Excellent ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
• Well-developed interpersonal skills enabling teamwork and clear communication.
• Proven record of designing and deploying telecommunications operator solutions
• Knowledge of common Telecommunication Protocols such as SIP, TR-069, SSL/TLS, LDAP, Radius, SOAP/XML would be an advantage.
• Detailed knowledge of IP Protocols including IPv4, IPv6, IPSEC, routing and network protocols.
• Familiarity of 3GPP and 3GPP2 standards and best practices.
• Exceptional customer service attitude and outstanding communication skills.
• Self-starter and driven by high quality results with solid technical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across multiple organizations both internal and external and work in a team environment.
• Ability to identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, defines risk mitigation strategies, and facilitates appropriate solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 80% in the UK.
