About Uber

We're changing the way people think about transportation. At Uber we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.

Uber Eats is an on-demand app and website that helps bring millions of people around the world the things they want, at the tap of a button. We partner with over 46,000 restaurants and merchants in more than 330 cities across the UK and Ireland. From specialty local favourites to national brand names, groceries to household essentials and more, Uber Eats has what you want when you want it-with an average delivery time of 30 minutes.

Uber Direct is our Delivery-as-a-Service product that enables restaurants, grocers, and retailers to unlock last-mile delivery for their customers via their own app or website by leveraging Uber's network of delivery partners.

Role Description

As a Client Partner II for Uber Direct, you will be responsible for driving new business across grocery, retail and channel partners. You'll identify and engage high-potential partners, pitch Uber Direct as a tailored solution, and guide businesses through the onboarding process. This role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in B2B sales, experience using Salesforce, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, legal, and product to help shape the go-to-market approach and deliver sustainable, scalable growth.

What You'll Do

  • New Business Development: Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities across target verticals for Uber Direct. Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing.
  • Salesforce Management: Maintain accurate records of prospecting, pipeline, and performance in Salesforce. Leverage Salesforce insights to improve outreach strategy and sales forecasting.
  • Partner with Purpose: Understand client needs and tailor solutions to deliver maximum value. Build trust and credibility to support long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Product, Legal) to create seamless onboarding and scalable partner success.
  • Market Expertise: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform product positioning and sales strategy.
  • Experiment and Iterate: Test new approaches, learn from failures, and help shape sales playbooks and commercial strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in SaaS, logistics, or delivery tech industries
  • Proven success in managing full sales cycles and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce-reporting, pipeline tracking, and workflow optimization
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to tailor messaging to C-level audiences
  • Analytical mindset-comfortable interpreting data and using insights to guide decision making
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure win-win deals
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with a self-starter mentality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in or passion for the retail, grocery, or last-mile delivery space
  • Familiarity with logistics, delivery APIs, or ecommerce integrations
  • SQL or other data analysis tools experience
  • Experience working in high-growth tech or startup environments
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
