Are you an enthusiastic and highly motivated newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist or experienced Band 5 seeking new opportunities? If so, come and join our dynamic, innovative and supportive team of specialist SLTs. Newly qualified Band 5 therapists will receive regular support and mentorship to complete their RCSLT competencies. Dysphagia training is provided. Band 5 therapists are encouraged to attend the Trusts AHP Band 5 preceptorship programme, and to also meet with other Band 5s for peer support.
This is an exciting opportunity for Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to join the inpatient SLT service at Nottingham University Hospitals. The post is permanent and full time and will work alongside other SLTs and assistants in the teams. Each post is rotational, with opportunities to rotate through several of our acute teams across both City and QMC Campuses. This role will also require the successful candidate to work at the New National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), due to open in Summer 2025 as part of the rotation.
The posts involve working your hours across Monday to Friday (to be discussed further at interview), and there may also be an additional requirement to work on the weekend and bank holiday rotas. This is part of a 7 day service in some parts of the broader SLT service, depending which part of the rotation you are on.

There is a FEES and video fluoroscopy service. There are strong links with the MDT and opportunity for developing your skills, participating in task and finish groups, training delivery, and inter-disciplinary CPD.
To provide a Speech and Language Therapy service to adults with communication and swallowing disorders at Nottingham University Hospital Trust. This service covers Queens Medical Centre and City Hospital and serves a wide range of patients and specialisms. This role will also require the successful candidate to work at the New National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC), due to open in Summer 2025 as part of the rotation.
To independently provide a Speech and Language Therapy assessment, formulation, intervention and advice service for people with communication and/or dysphagia needs, their families, carers, support staff and professionals.
To work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of agencies and locations in order to maximise communication opportunities To plan for and support the work of assistants and co-workers as part of the case management To contribute to the development of and deliver of a range of training packages for health and education professionals, other agencies and families.
