King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Orpington
Contract type: Full time
We are inviting applications for Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists to join our rotations between the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) and Orpington neuro-rehabilitation centre.
There are currently 2 permanent, full time posts to recruit to.
The Band 5 rotation offers a fantastic opportunity to work in our highly skilled and supportive inpatient teams across Adult acute, stroke, frailty and neuro rehabilitation.
The 2 positions available are in our Neuro rehabilitaion team and Adult Acute team.
The successful applicants will fill vacancies in our inpatient acute team at the PRUH and our inpatient neuro rehabilitation team at Orpington Hospital.
You will be facilitated to develop a wide knowledge base and range of skills, alongside specified learning objectives for the rotation and ring-fenced learning time to achieve these.
All of our SLT teams work closely with the wider multidisciplinary teams. The SLT service offers a comprehensive supervision and CPD structure with a range of opportunities for learning and participation in both self and service development. There is a strong emphasis on the management of both communication and swallowing difficulties and the impact of SLT within the acute setting.
