The Accounts Receivable Specialist works on Sales Ledger and Accounting tasks. They will work as part of the larger Accounts Receivable team to ensure the Company’s financial records to accurately reflect the Company’s financial position, whilst ensuring legal compliance.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Post cash transactions from bank statements received onto customer accounts, ensuring correct allocation against invoices.
• Run weekly Aged Debtors reports and perform credit control tasks to ensure payments are received in the specified timeframes.
• Send weekly statements/invoice copies to partners, contacting the partner via email or telephone where necessary to ensure any account queries are resolved.
• Update and maintain records such as Amazon account, partners accounts, and US sales tax exception certificates.
• Request exemption forms from partners to update Vertex in relation to US sales tax.
• Issue proforma invoices (where a customer is a prepay account), manual invoices, and credit notes
• Complete specific tasks as part of month-end accounting close, such as running Aged Debtors reports and reconciling the balance to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation files for revenue and account receivable related accounts.
• Ensure the daily maintenance of accurate financial records.
• Assistance with the external audit process as required.
• Provide temporary coverage for Global Accounts Receivable Manager when Manager is out-of-office.
  
  

Job Skills And Qualifications

• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel/IT skills
• Strong Communication skills – both verbally and written
• GCSE grade 4 or above in both Math and English
• AAT qualified / Accounting degree - preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
• Used to working in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Base Range: £24,900 - £27,900 plus bonus eligible
