Are you a motivated and dedicated dietitian with a keen interest in obesity management and behaviour change?
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the Adult Weight Management Service (AWMS) at ABUHB. Established in 2014, the AWMS operates in line with the All Wales Weight Management Pathway, offering Level 2 and 3 services. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with our Children's and Maternity Weight Management Services, expanding your expertise in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Main duties of the job
Deliver a specialist weight management outpatient service in a variety of different ways including group sessions, assessment clinics, 1:1 interventions, support groups and telephone consultations.
The post holders will support, develop and deliver the specialist dietetic services as part of the AWMS team. As specialist Dietitian the post holder will be expected to work independently, offering dietetic clinics, group sessions and providing dietetic support as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering specialist services for obese patients with complex needs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Experience of training student dietitians
Essential criteria
- Relevant post qualification experience in the relevant field
- Experience of working in group and 1:1 settings
- Demonstrates up to date and advanced knowledge and expertise in weight management / obesity
- Experience of giving presentations and teaching sessions to groups in a variety of settings
- Counselling experience
- Experience of Bariatric Surgery
Essential criteria
- BSc Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Post-registration training / experience in specialist area
- Motivational interviewing / behaviour change training
- Clinical educators course
- HCPC registered
