Special Needs Learning Mentors
£83.33 per day
Full-time – Long-term role – Term-time only
ASAP Start Date
MUST HAVE UK DRIVING LICENCE, OWN CAR, AND A DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE
GSL Education is supporting an SEND school in Exeter that is seeking Special Needs Learning Mentors to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential to go permanent!
The school offers a personalised wrap-around education package to students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of requiring residential placements. These pupils have struggled to thrive in Cornwall secondary and special schools or are returning from out-of-county placements.
Every child receives a high level of support, often involving one-to-one assistance and bespoke timetables based on thematic learning experiences. A wide range of personalised learning opportunities in and out of the classroom is designed to engage students, build resilience, and lay the foundation for rapid academic progress.
THE SCHOOL HAS MULTIPLE SETTINGS, AND WE ARE SEEKING THOSE HAPPY TO WORK ACROSS KS1-4. THESE ROLES REQUIRE A UK DRIVING LICENCE AND OWN CAR.
These roles are challenging, as the children present very complex and often difficult behaviours. You will need to be resilient and committed to this role as a Special Needs Learning Mentor.
