Sous Chef

Location: Leven, Fife KY8 5HD

Hours: 33.5 Per Week

Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday withflexibility required to support when the business needs.

Rate Of Pay: £15.30- Plus Sodexo rewards andbenefits

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our Corporate Services team in Leven KY8 5HD .Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smoothdelivery of high-quality food service and the efficient running of our kitchenoperations.

About The Role

As Sous Chef, youwill:

  • Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, deputising when required.
  • Oversee the preparation, presentation, and service of meals to the highest standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Plan menus, manage stock, place orders, and monitor budgets.
  • Lead, train, and support kitchen staff to maintain strong team performance.
  • Manage catering for special functions, including events outside normal working hours.
  • Foster positive client and customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

About You

We are looking forsomeone who:

  • Holds relevant professional qualifications such as NVQ or SVQ in Professional Cookery, City & Guilds, or a Diploma in Catering .
  • Has previous experience in a similar role, with strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Is confident managing financial targets, stock control, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Can work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
  • Is IT literate and comfortable using systems for reporting and planning.
