Overview

Softwerx is seeking a dynamic Solutions Marketing Lead to bring together the product development and marketing team for the company’s 24x7 Managed Detection and Response Security solution – secure365.

This critical role will involve a deep understanding of the Microsoft security portfolio and secure365, and the successful candidate will play a key role in the company’s overall growth strategy by effectively communicating user value through key insights and product development opportunities.

Contract type: Permanent

Location: This is a remote hybrid role with regular travel across the UK and weekly visits to the Cambridge Head Office at CB22 3GN (may change depending on business requirements).

Hours of work: Full time 37.5 hours per week 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 pa dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Able to unearth and deeply understand customer needs, pain points, buyer behaviour, market opportunities and competitor activity, ensuring all areas are reflected in the features that are taken to market.
  • Work closely with the product development team to understand the product and define use cases and value propositions for Softwerx’s 24x7 MDR solution, secure365.
  • Produce compelling marketing and sales enablement assets (such as brochures, blogs, articles, presentation decks) that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Equip our sales and Business Development teams with the necessary knowledge, assets and know-how to delight customers.
  • Play a pivotal role in the product development lifecycle, whilst partnering with customer success and marketing to drive product adoption.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and market demands to adapt and refine the solutions marketing strategy accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, business support, and commercial—to ensure smooth execution of channel initiatives.
  • Comfortable being a spokesperson for PR activity and customer events if required.
Essential Experience
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product marketing, solutions marketing or business. development within the IT or cybersecurity industry.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with change, and a strong bias for action and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in translating technical features into clear and concise benefits, and is able to position value that aligns to customer challenges and pain points – to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft security portfolio.
  • Specific experience in the area of SECaaS (Security-as-a-Service) or MSSP (Managed-Security-Service-Provider) solutions.
Package
  • Competitive base salary £50K - £65K (experience dependent)
