Software Engineer

About The Role

Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet the needs of Perspectum and our customers. Based in our Project Delivery team, you will work closely with our Software Design Engineering team to identify requirements and implement solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Duties include:

• Designing and developing software solutions that meet customer and business needs.
• Reviewing and taking part in code reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
• Implementing isolated and integrated software-based solutions
• Strengthening the interfaces with other departments through strong relationship building and regular communications.

About You

We are looking for an individual who has both the technical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to become a proactive member of our Software Engineering team. A pivotal cross-functional role, you must feel confident explaining technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and enjoy creative problem solving.

You will also ideally have:

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant technical experience in a real-world setting
• A solid grounding in software development within a commercial environment, preferably in a start up
• Experience with Python and cloud computing, ideally AWS
• Excellent communications skills
• Interest in the context of what you are making and delivering, rather than purely focusing on the code.
