SOC Analyst

As our SOC Analyst, you’ll play a key role in enhancing Cadent's security posture and shaping the processes, policies, and procedures that refine our practices moving forward. This isn’t just about monitoring alerts or managing tickets – this is about ensuring our systems remain safe and operational, providing consistent and uninterrupted service.

Working closely with offshore first-line analysts and the security engineering team, you’ll bring structure, insight, and leadership to our security operations. You’ll refine SIEM detection rules, improve event management across both IT and OT estates, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure our systems remain secure. You’ll also stay at the forefront of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strategic Visibility – Operate at the heart of our security operations, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of gas.
• End-to-End Ownership – Lead security operations across multiple areas, from alert triage to incident management and threat analysis.
• Leadership Influence – Work closely with senior stakeholders, shaping our security posture and creating accountability at every level.
• Agile Delivery – Flex between monitoring security events and stepping in to manage specific incidents when needed.
• Continuous Improvement – Embed best practices across the function and improve how we monitor, respond to, and communicate security events.

You’re an experienced SOC Analyst who’s comfortable shaping security operations, coaching teams, and influencing at senior levels.

• Strong SOC Background – Experience managing security operations with proven expertise in alert triage, incident management, and threat analysis.
• Technical Credentials – Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Sec+, CompTIA Network+, and a solid grasp of SIEM and XDR tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
• Delivery Versatility – Ability to step into incident management roles and flex to meet security needs as required.
• Stakeholder Confidence – Skilled in building trust and influencing stakeholders at all levels, from field operatives to executive leaders.
