Position Summary: Working as part of a cohesive team that will provide support across the distribution centre. The Site Services Assistant will undertake planned and unplanned maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned maintenance; inspections, daily weekly and monthly
- Day to day frontline fault finding and repair work
- To support a 24 hour call out service
- Assist with contractor control and management
- Maintain accurate job and service records
- Assist with the service and maintenance of automated conveyer systems
- Assist with the installation of new electrical and non-electrical equipment
- Additional works as required by site manager
- To work in a multi-temperature food storage environment
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes as required to meet the needs of the business
- Calm under pressure
- Strong H&S awareness
- Innovative, forward thinking, able to think ‘outside the box’ and generate new opportunities for improvement
- A team player
Technical competencies
Required
- Educated to ONC level or equivalent
- Competent in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Demonstrate a good track record of achieving results.
- Previous experience working within production and warehouse environment
- Experience in planned Preventative Maintenance Systems
- 3 years’ experience in building maintenance
- 18th Edition
- Certification in welding
- Conveyer systems and robotics
- Experience of working with an Ammonia Refrigeration Plant
