Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world’s first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England.

We are currently seeking a Site Quality Manager to join the team in the North-East of England.

The successful candidate will be site-based once the site office is established but will work at our temporary project office in Middlesbrough until then

Job Scope

Your mission

HSE

  • Take Safety as a first priority and follow Golden Rules.
  • Attend required SHES Trainings and take part actively in SHES initiative such as Safety Observation Cards / SHES walkdowns, etc.
  • Ensure all QC personnel in the department is performing all the due HSE Trainings prior working at site


GENERAL

  • Implements and monitors the quality management system at site, ensuring proactive quality support to meet Client and quality requirements.
  • Promote a Quality culture at site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems.
  • Implement the Site Surveillance program and CPY Quality Initiative (Right First Time)
  • Remain as site focal point within all organizations for Quality managements matters.
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of the Quality System at site and Yards and, as leader of the Quality team, direct, manage, plan, organize, staff, control and motivate the team to work as an integral unit.
  • Ensure the uniformity of quality management System between Site and Yards.
  • Responsible for all site Quality personnel about functions and assignments. Recommends personnel action such as promotions, transfers, or mobilization / demobilization.
  • Establish, complete, and implement Project Policy, Quality system and related procedures on site for the inspection execution, including receiving inspections, etc.
  • Issue ITP’s and ensure that project requirements are well included.
  • Assure that quality documentation received from subcontractor is reviewed and treated in prompt manner.
  • Monitor adequacy of Subcontractor’s inspection team with regards to the overall construction schedule.
  • Participates in subcontractor kick-off meeting, presentations, and Pre-inspection meetings prior to the start of the work.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Subcontractors/Client / site Quality teams to review progress, discuss issues & Action plans.
  • Compiles all inspection records per agreed method in the system before handover (Easy Plant database when applicable). Ensure there is no backlog in inspection records.
  • Provide regular KPI reports to the management and to Client / relevant parties, concerning Quality matters and propose corrective action for areas of concern.
  • Ensures timely resolution of any NCR/QC problem faced during construction.
  • Participate in weekly mass TBT and Quality walkdowns.
  • Oversee and implement an effective corrective and preventive action system and track closure of NCRs and waiver requests.
  • Coordinate and promote the collection of Feedback & Lesson Learned from yard/site.
  • Support the site Audit program (internal/external) on CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTORS quality management organizations, to ensure they are working in compliance with project approved procedures and Contract requirements

Previous experiences:

  • Experience in Quality Management
  • Experience as Site Quality Manager


Proved competences/roles in:

  • Site Quality team management on major project of Energy / Power Plant / Oil & Gas sector
  • Advanced experience within a formal Management System
  • Former experience in the UK and with BP, Balfour Beatty will be a plus.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferably with a specialization in Quality)


Certifications:

  • Mandatory certification:
  • Nil
  • Preferably owning the following certifications:
  • ISO 9001 auditor
  • Welding/NDT certification (CSWIP, AWS, SNT-TC, CND, IWS/E/T, etc.)
  • NACE/FROSIO,
