We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple contracts and sites within our social housing maintenance division. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of planned and reactive maintenance works across various social housing properties, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social housing maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management & Supervision: Manage the day-to-day operations across multiple sites, including overseeing planned and reactive maintenance works, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and tradespeople, and ensuring all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including site inductions, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work. Promote a positive safety culture on all sites.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, housing officers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring any concerns or queries are addressed promptly and professionally. Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Project Delivery & Planning: Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensure the timely delivery of works, keeping within budgetary constraints, and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, performing regular inspections of works in progress and completed projects. Address any defects or issues in a timely manner.
- Coordination & Communication: Liaise with the Contract Manager and Project Manager on a regular basis, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and opportunities. Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth site operations.
- Resource Management: Ensure the effective allocation and management of labour, materials, and equipment on each site. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with agreed standards and timelines.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including daily site diaries, progress reports, and records of meetings. Ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager in social housing or construction maintenance.
- Strong understanding of housing maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (SMSTS/SSSTS certification required).
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience liaising with tenants and housing officers.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage on-site teams and subcontractors.
- IT literate, with experience using project management and reporting software.
- Valid UK driving license (essential) and willingness to travel between sites.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a social housing environment.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Knowledge of current building regulations and standards.

Pay: £42,945.00-£48,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday

- Site Management: 5 years (preferred)
