Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Electricity Transmission team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be responsible for leading the SHQ performance of the Electricity Transmission projects for our main clients in Scotland; Scottish Power and SSE. Are you an effective leader of all aspects of SHEQ? We want to hear from you!
You’ll be working closely with the site operational teams, ensuring a strategic and proactive approach to managing SHQ performance. Are you confident in ensuring compliance whilst driving continual improvement? You’ll support ongoing relationships and frameworks with existing clients, and agreed strategic targets, in line with a defined SHQ plan.
You’ll be responsible for implementing and managing any Incident and Accident investigations including Root Cause Analysis reports.

What You’ll Bring
- Existing knowledge of the utilities and/or construction sector
- Show willingness and confidence in engaging with clients and interacting with stakeholders at all levels and continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Build a knowledge base of client’s businesses, systems and objectives
- Facilitate the SHEQ team and client meetings effectively
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- You’ll be an active member of the SHEQ management team driving projects forward whilst embracing innovation and alternate ways of working.
- Visible Health & Safety behavioural leadership - challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model.
- Embraces innovation and new ways of working.
- NEBOSH Qualification is essential!
- Full UK driving licence - you’ll be travelling across sites and will include overnight stays.
