Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the SHEQ t division as a SHEQ manager

Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.

Position:

As a safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) manager, you will be responsible for devising practices within our workplace to ensure health and safety, and environmental best practice on-site to ensure that works are undertaken safely. You will also carry out quality control inspections to ensure high standards are kept.

Duties ill include but not be limited to:

  • Champion health and safety across the company, working with the teams to ensure everyone puts safety first.
  • To manage sites on all relevant aspects of SHEQ, with an emphasis on maintaining safe methods of working and systems to reduce risk.
  • Support the site management teams to ensure that all site documentation is kept up to date and report any issues.
  • Lead and support managers with external audits to ensure compliance to all appropriate standards.
  • Providing support on systems, Including HandsHQ, MyCompliance, IMS, Sharepoint, Peoplesafe, and provide General SHEQ related Training

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certification or equivalent H&S Qualification
  • A full UK driving licence – essential for the job as the role will involve travel between sites with access to a personal vehicle.
  • Previous experience in health and safety, site inspections and reporting incidents.
  • A passion of Safety, Health and Environment
