Job Summary

Are you a qualified Counsellor for Depression (CfD) looking to make a real difference in people's lives? Nouvita Healthcare is seeking dedicated, sessional counsellors to join our growingNHS Talking Therapiesteam. This hybrid role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to adults experiencing common mental health issues.

Main duties of the job

Youll work within theNHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) framework, delivering short-term counselling interventions that are person-centred and guided by thePerson-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD)model.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Conducting assessments and delivering therapy sessions
  • Supporting clients through their mental health journeys using evidence-based practice
  • Maintaining clear, timely clinical notes on our digital system
  • Collaborating with team members, supervisors, and partner agencies
  • Participating in regular supervision, training, and professional development

  • - BACP membership (Accreditation or working towards it)
  • - Qualification in CfD
  • - At least 2 years of post-qualification experience
  • - Experience delivering time-limited counselling
  • - Remote counselling qualification and good IT skills
  • - Ability to travel within Hertfordshire as needed

  • - Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • - A flexible, client-focused approach
  • - A solid understanding of confidentiality, ethics, and safeguarding
  • - Commitment to equality, diversity, and professional standards
