Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership (DHSCP) is seeking to recruit an AHP Service Manager to lead a large team of Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapists & Physiotherapists) providing services across acute, community and MSK settings. You will be a forward thinking, innovative and experienced AHP with evidence of a collaborative leadership approach.
The successful post holder will have management and leadership responsibility for all inpatient occupational therapy and physiotherapy services, community musculoskeletal services, and the full range of community occupational therapy and physiotherapy services across DHSCP. This will include the Dundee and Angus Community Equipment Store, Community Rehabilitation Teams, Cardiac Rehabilitation, First Contact Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, Musculoskeletal, Specialist Pain Services, Trauma Orthopaedics, Pelvic & Obstetric Physiotherapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Vocational Rehab and Rheumatology.
You will be responsible for the designated service area including all budget and physical and staff resources and be accountable to the Associate Locality Manager for Acute & Urgent Care. You will provide detailed operational management and professional clinical leadership to discipline specific professional staff across DHSCP. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with other managers to ensure the delivery of effective and fully integrated health and social care services across all partner agencies in Tayside.
You will have a working knowledge of the local and national health and social care agenda/ policy and have experience of leading change within a multi-disciplinary environment. Excellent communication and analytical skills will be essential.
You will ensure the clinical contribution to service delivery is of the highest quality and is one that enhances the person’s experience through the provision of safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable, and person-centred care. You will ensure that as part of the Clinical/Management structure you support the Lead AHP and Lead Nurse with the delivery of the overall professional governance structures/frameworks.
You will have a good understanding of how the Partnership operates and will have demonstrable leadership skills and relevant experience. Personal attributes will include ability to manage complexity and to achieve change through building and maintaining positive working relationships, effective communications and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
