SEO Operations Manager

Full-Time | UK/Spain or Remote | Hybrid Optional | fatjoe

Help Build the SEO Services Engine of the Future

We’re fatjoe, a fast-scaling SEO services platform trusted by thousands of agencies globally. We’re looking for an SEO Operations Manager who can lead and evolve our service delivery machine in areas such as outreach, training, hiring and project management.

If you’re process-obsessed, fluent in SEO, and capable of building scalable systems that work at volume, you’ll love it here.

Your Mission

To lead the operational side of our SEO & link building services, ensuring continuous results and improvement to our processes.

What You’ll Do

SEO Service Ownership

  • Lead operations for core SEO services: link building, outreach, brand mentions, managed SEO & more.
  • Audit and improve service processes, templates, and briefs across delivery teams
  • Collaborate with tech, marketing, and customer teams to deliver seamless client experiences
  • Roll out new SEO services from concept through to execution (pilot → process → scale)

Outreach & Link Building

  • Build and manage scalable outreach campaigns (cold email, partnerships, niche edits) for link building services
  • Own relationships with publishers and bloggers to ensure quality link placements
  • Use tools like Pitchbox, Buzzstream, Instantly, and Lemlist to execute and scale
  • Track link quality KPIs (DR/DA, anchor diversity, placement rates)

Operational & Project Leadership

  • Set and optimise delivery KPIs, timelines, and quality benchmarks
  • Manage cross-functional projects (e.g. brand mention workflows, automation rollouts)
  • Hire, train, and support freelance or in-house SEO delivery staff
  • Own internal documentation, SOPs, QA systems, and dashboards

What You Bring

  • 3+ years in SEO — especially link building, outreach, or SEO service delivery
  • Experience managing SEO projects or service lines end-to-end
  • Excellent grasp of SEO metrics, strategy, and service performance (DA, DR, CVR, etc.)
  • Project management experience across departments or clients
  • Confident using outreach, automation, and SEO tools (GA4, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
  • Ability to build processes and documentation (Notion, Looms, templates, checklists)
  • Hands-on mindset: able to build, test, launch, and optimise, not just direct
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in hiring and managing teams

What You’ll Get

  • Salary of £55,000- £65,000 DOE + performance bonus
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off
  • Health cash plan + annual learning budget
  • Latest MacBook + full remote setup
  • Flexible hybrid working (Staffordshire HQ or Barcelona)
  • Fast feedback, no red tape, and a big seat at the growth table
  • Paid ‘workations’ to HQs (Spain & UK) and marketing events

Your Progression

→ Head of SEO Operations

Hiring Process

  • Submit a CV and short Loom or video intro via link provided
  • 30-minute virtual interview
  • Paid project or task
  • Final in-person interview (Cannock or Barcelona)
