About You

About The Role

Ash Lea House is a 13-bed residential care home in Alfreton, providing a caring, supportive and stimulating environment for adults with learning disabilities, autism and physical disabilities. We provide a high level of support to enable all the people we support to meet their personal goals and future aspirations! As part of the Ash Lea House family, every day will be different - you could be enjoying the garden and paddling pool in summer with Melissa, having a friendly Pool competition at the pub with Jason, or going on rides and winning prizes at the local fun fair! Whatever you do, you'll be making lifelong memories with the people we support. We are all very well supported here as staff at Ash Lea House and none of our efforts go unnoticed. We understand what’s important and always try our best to help the individuals live their best lives! No two days are the same, one day we’re partaking in a family event or party and the next we’re out window shopping and sightseeing! There is huge variety in the role and lots to learn with lots of opportunity to develop new and existing skills.

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily. Your leadership and expertise are key to our success. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed, person-centered support plans that promote health, wellbeing, relationships, and diversity, while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Implement robust activity plans that encourage autonomy, new experiences, and flexibility, regularly engaging with individuals to seek their views.
• Support individuals in financial planning, medication self-administration, and regular health reviews, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
• Tailor the environment to meet individual needs, ensuring Health and Safety policies, including Fire Safety, are followed.
• Recruit and manage staff through robust induction, supervision, and training processes, ensuring person-centered schedules and personal development plans.
• Deliver outstanding care and support by adhering to Salutem's Quality Assurance framework, embodying core values, and managing incidents according to policies.
