Senior Support Worker

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £25,027.20 per annum

Based at: Llansamlet, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot

Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an out of hours sanctuary service providing practical and therapeutic support to individuals, across Neath Port Talbot and Swansea, experiencing episodes of mental distress in a non-clinical setting. The team will provide advice, guidance and early interventions that aim to keep individuals accessing the service safe and help to improve their mental wellbeing.

The Senior Support Worker of the Adult Sanctuary Service plays a pivotal role in providing a safe and supportive environment for people in need. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for leading and supporting a team of staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support, and contributing to the overall success of the service.

The role of the Senior Support Worker is crucial to ensuring that people receive the appropriate intervention they need during difficult times. This role demands a compassionate and resilient individual who can provide leadership, guidance, and advocacy to both service users and the dedicated staff team.
