Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated Structural Engineer to lead our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be involved in overseeing the entire project cycle from design to delivery, ensuring stakeholder alignment, and maintaining high health and safety standards. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver efficient, innovative, and practical engineering solutions for a broad range of structural designs for telecom sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structural assistance throughout project life cycle, from initial design to final delivery, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support the Design & Delivery teams in delivering assignments efficiently, maximizing team productivity and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop and deliver innovative structural engineering solutions, and effectively communicate results to project managers and designers.
  • Perform structural design and analysis using Tekla and other advanced design software, covering a broad range of structures, and adhering to Eurocodes and other relevant standards.
  • Assist external suppliers to ensure designs are aligned with project goals.
  • Help in implementing procedures for standardization and quality control to ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality technical outputs.
  • Manage engineering team workload to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Govern output of reporting engineers, to ensure quality and alignment with all relevant guidance, standards, codes & legislation.
  • Manage team workload and resource to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Support personal development of engineers through mentorship and training.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Chartered status preferred
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Technical Expertise & Skills

  • Knowledge of structural design and analysis, including experience with foundations, masonry, reinforced concrete, and steelwork.
  • Familiar with Eurocodes, and British standards.
  • Experience with Tekla or similar structural design software for modeling and analysis.
  • Strong design and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver practical and innovative engineering solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute effectively to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to be organised and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • High level of attention to detail in design and analysis, ensuring that all outputs meet project requirements and company standards.
