Senior Solution Delivery Manager

Lincolnshire Co-op

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Lincoln
Contract type: Full time

About the role:

Are you a strategic delivery leader with a passion for enabling large-scale digital transformation? Are you ready to take the lead in shaping and delivering innovative IT solutions that make a real difference to communities across Lincolnshire? At Lincolnshire Co-op, we’re transforming the way technology empowers our diverse businesses — from food and pharmacy to property and funeral services. We are seeking a Senior Solution Delivery Manager to play a pivotal role in driving this change, turning strategic ambition into operational reality.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT solutions across multiple projects and workstreams, managing cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational objectives. You’ll embed governance, standards, and delivery best practices, while mitigating risks, resolving blockers, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, in scope, and on budget. You will also oversee resource planning, team performance, and vendor management, driving commercial value and high-quality outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of complex IT solutions that span teams, technologies, and business areas.
  • Driving the IT transformational roadmap to ensure all initiatives support strategic goals.
  • Embedding governance, standards, and delivery best practices to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to align priorities, manage expectations, and deliver tangible business value.
  • Managing resource planning, team performance, and overall delivery outcomes.
  • Mitigating risks, resolving blockers, and keeping delivery on track — on time, in scope, and within budget.
  • Managing third-party partners and vendors to ensure value and quality.
  • Supporting change management and adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and quality standards across all solution deliveries.

This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role for someone who thrives in complex delivery environments, drives continuous improvement, and enjoys seeing technology deliver meaningful outcomes for both the business and the communities it serves.

About you:

Are you an experienced delivery leader who thrives on complexity and collaboration? Do you want to use your technical expertise, people leadership, and business acumen to unlock the power of technology? At Lincolnshire Co-op, we’re looking for a Senior Solution Delivery Manager to drive high-impact IT solutions across our diverse businesses.

In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT programmes, motivating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and turning vision into action. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards, while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale IT solutions across diverse sectors.
  • Expertise in SDLC and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).
  • A track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, building trust at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to solve complex problems.
  • Strong financial acumen, confidently managing budgets and delivering value.
  • Solid knowledge of testing, QA, and environment management principles.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and delivery partners effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, persuasive, and audience-aware.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach to change and continuous improvement.

If you’re a strategic thinker, a skilled delivery leader, and passionate about making a difference through technology, this is your opportunity to lead transformation that matters.
