The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team! You would be a good fit for this role if you have an uncanny knack for problem solving and a sharp product mindset. Our engineers are involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle creating scalable, and secure products. You should also know that we are not limited to any Tech Stack, so all tech expertise is welcome to apply.

Role Specifics

  • Work Location: Remote (UK)
  • Travel: Less than 5% (The percentage of travel is an estimation, and it could vary based on business needs).
  • Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

What You Will Own

  • You will have an equal voice in our team, we work together to ensure our processes work for everyone, whilst ensuring we deliver value to our customers.
  • Our team is responsible for delivering items from both the Product and Technology Roadmaps, so delivering new product features, bugs, and tech debt is a part of everyday life.
  • We believe that quality is the responsibility of everyone. Our engineers embody this and own the processes in place to build quality into our products a couple of examples of this are Risk Storming and Flexi-QAs where Developers collaborate to test each other's work alongside our Quality Coach.
  • Attend regular Lunch and Learn knowledge-sharing sessions & time for professional development.

Note: Meetings are kept to a minimum, with quality and efficiency continuously driving our processes forward, daily focus time is a must for all our engineers.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years commercial experience as a developer
  • .NET frameworks, C#, SQL, ASP.NET - Razor
  • APIs: REST and GraphQL
  • Web Technologies: MVC, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Ability to explain concepts and mentor junior developers
  • Love for building products in cross-functional teams using an iterative approach
  • Keen learner and love sharing your knowledge with others

Preferred Experience

  • Practical knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Care about product quality and shipping value to customers
  • The ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
  • Passionate about modernizing and continuously improving a large codebase
  • The ability to break down complex concepts into simple, understandable language
