We are looking for a results driven, people focused project manager to champion the successful delivery of our innovative crop products into the global market.


Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning and orchestrating the timely execution of our projects in collaboration with our fantastic team of scientists, innovators and professionals.


Responsibilities

  • As an integral member of our Project Management Office, you will be responsible for leading multiple stakeholder groups from the project planning stage through to successful project sign off including resource assessments and budget generation.
  • Managing the execution of project plans through their lifecycle to ensure smooth progress through major milestones and successful project completion.
  • Coordinating and delivering project progress reports to key stakeholder groups including the senior leadership team.
  • Monitoring and actively addressing key project risks through generation of mitigation plans and timely escalation of critical issues.
  • Ensuring working practices and processes are iterated and improved over time.
  • You will work closely with various stakeholders and build strong working relationships, be an established point of contact on project delivery and an advocate for process.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing others within the organization in project management practices.


Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years project management experience in a PM role (within a similar organization is highly preferable)
  • Experience working in a product focused environment.
  • The ability to identify needs, ask questions and translate into plans, supporting on the briefing process and requirements necessary to deliver successfully.
  • Driven, passionate, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts at pace and translate between teams.

Desirable

  • Project MGMT qualifications (e.g. APM, PMP).
  • Science and/or Agri-tech background
  • Experience managing grant funded projects (especially Innovate UK).
  • Experience coordinating projects with global external stakeholders (third-party vendors or collaborators).
