What We Achieve Together
- The successful applicant will be responsible for directly managing the project delivery process from entry to closure along with leadership alignment on global project risk and mitigation recommendations.
- You will manage and own the entire VGUK transformation project portfolio, ensuring projects are run to agreed timelines, resources are managed, budgets are secured, and risk and identified and mitigated.
- Take ownership and delivery of programme and transformation work streams, ensuring projects under your programme are resourced and delivering to the wider programme timelines and strategy, ensuring escalation procedures are followed to deliver as agreed the wider programme timeline.
- Directly lead strategic projects, deployed to ensure the larger projects involved in the strategic portfolio are set-up, scoped, resourced and delivered to business needed objectives and timelines.
- Deputise for the PMO Manager in reporting, steering meetings and implementation of PMO best practice and VGUK project standardisation evolution.
- Previous Project and Programme management experience in a senior role is essential for all applicants.
- You should have strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast passed environment is important.
- Expertise in project practices are required.
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies is required.
- Project certification (APM/Prince2) is desirable.
