Senior Product Manager (AI and tooling)

Beam

Date: 1 week ago
City: London
Contract type: Full time

At Beam, you get to do work that matters. We’re solving the world’s toughest social problems. And we’re growing fast

It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. But we take care of everyone who works here with everything from coaching to personal budgets and pay highly competitively.

You’ll be joining a company that’s already having a huge impact on people’s lives with a culture where you can be yourself, have fun and progress rapidly.

We're one of the Hottest 10 Startups in London according to WIRED magazine and one of LinkedIn’s Top 15 UK Startups.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to play a critical role in reinventing Beam’s already market-leading internal tooling with AI.

Reporting to Sarah Harvey, a senior commercial leader who has previously run Square in the UK and Tough Mudder globally, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming welfare services in the UK - and ultimately beyond.

This is a hands-on role. We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager who loves discovery and building truly exceptional products that drive measurable impact.

Being part of our product team at Beam will mean experimenting, learning from our mistakes and successes and setting a sky-high quality bar for product.

Please note this role is London-based, working a minimum of 2 days per week from our Shoreditch HQ, and we are unable to sponsor visas at this time. Given almost all the users of our tooling are at HQ, we have a preference for people who are keen to spend more than 2 days per week learning about their users' problems at HQ.

You’ll be

    • Hands-on with product management - Managing multiple products and priorities, whilst being able to set the roadmap at a squad level

    • Establishing clear and measurable goals - Define and set meaningful goals, for which you hold yourself and our engineers accountable

    • Making evidence-based decisions - Using a mix of qualitative, quantitative data. You don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis, and if you find yourself there, you ask for help to get out of it.

    • Growing daily - Using mistakes as an opportunity for learning, and coaching your squad to deliver consistent high performance

You’ll have

    • A results-driven mindset - you thrive working towards ambitious team and individual KPIs

    • At least 4 years' hands-on experience as a product manager in a fast-paced tech company, and delivering world class products, with an obsessive eye for quality and detail

    • A track record of success - a proven history of successful product discovery and delivery working closely with engineers, designers and other PMs

    • Experience and passion for building tooling to drive operational efficiencies, with a passion for AI

    • Passion - a hunger to work in a collaborative culture, excited by Beam’s company values and mission

Sound like you? Perhaps you don’t feel you tick every box - that’s OK, we encourage those who feel 70/75% confident with the role, to please hit ‘Apply’, especially if you’re excited about helping kickstart a new era of opportunity for those left behind!

Our benefits
  • A starting salary of between £70,000 - £100,000, highly competitive for Tech for Good
  • EMI-qualifying share options
  • Annual company retreat
  • Personal Development Budget
  • Monthly counselling budget
  • 1:1 workplace coaching with More Happi
  • Regular team talks from leading UK tech entrepreneurs
  • Discounted bike and accessories with Cyclescheme
  • Generous holiday - up to 30 days per year + Bank Holidays
  • Hybrid working from our Shoreditch office or at home (2 days in the office, 3 from home)
  • Your own financial wellbeing coach, through Bippit
