Capability Area Overview
Metrea’s UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Market Development Team is responsible for developing a pipeline that leverages all of our Enterprise capabilities and creating compelling bids and proposals that maximize PWin and value creation by demonstrating Metrea’s ability to understand our customer’s most wicked problems and develop compelling, compliant and elegant solutions.
Position Summary
This role leverages your leadership attributes and breadth of experience within Defence to lead a small team to drive Market Development activity primarily in the Cyber & Electromagnetic & Cyber (EM&C) domains with crossover into Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) services. You will have a deep understanding of the EM&C environment including the effects, sensors and capabilities, the missions they are employed within and the market. You will also work closely with the UK EM&C development lab, feeding customer and front line problems back in to enable rapid prototyping, development and adaptation of bespoke capabilities. You will employ the Metrea Solution Framework, which ensures our solutions are elegant, adaptive, value accretive and market shaping.
Based from our London or Lincoln office, but with hybrid working, you will be responsible for leading a team to conduct the regional Market Development activity covering an expanding range of products and services. This will involve developing and delivering winning strategies and proposals for national security customers including the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO, and international customers.
You will also be expected to work closely with your fellow Market Development leads across the full range of Metrea products and services to support capture and bid activity to ensure that our solutions match the needs of emerging technology portfolios as we continue to design and create adaptive multi-mission capabilities across the EMEA region.

This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
Work Location
Hybrid with regular office attendance at our London or Lincoln HQ.

Role And Responsibilities
- Leadership and continual professional development of your team.
- Develop and grow the pipeline and portfolio with both existing and potential customers to meet business objectives.
- Design and deliver campaign plans aligned to business strategies that support pipeline and portfolio growth.
- Identify and coordinate strategic partnerships or teaming arrangements where appropriate.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across national security and Defence across the region.
- In conjunction with the Bids & Proposals team, lead capture, bid and proposal activity to win new business.
- Generate market and competitor intelligence analysis to inform strategy and prioritization.
- Shape opportunities and influence requirements to position Metrea effectively.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain external customer and key stakeholder relationships.
- Identify and support the development of innovative capabilities to enhance Metrea’s solutions and services.
- Become proficient in the Metrea Solution Framework to provide support across the business
- 10 years+ combined experience in Industry and Defence in relevant EM&C and/or ISR related roles.
- Market Development experience with an understanding of the Defence market in the EMEA region is essential.
- Deep experience of EM&C/CEMA. Broad experience of Air domain missions.
- The ability to create high quality, technically sound written work to a deadline in support of bids and proposals is essential.
